Ps3 Error Code 8002f1f9

Fat PS3 system. Do you guys need model number? I got this busted PS3 from a friend and thought I could fix it up -- I thought wrong. Situation: 'An error occurred during the update operation 8002F1F9.'

Ps3 Slim Error Code 8002f1f9 Fix

This occurs when turning on the system; it goes into an update, lags at 43% then gives me error code. I CANNOT get into safe mode. Once I turn on the PS3 it goes straight into the update and fails at 43%. Solutions attempted: 1) Replaced wifi board and antenna -- still fails at 43% 2) Replaced the wifi board ribbon -- still fails at 43% 2) Replaced harddrive -- still fails at 43% 3) Used usb w/ up to date, current official firmware from sony website -- still fails at 43% 4) Brought it to some repair guy and he said that anything he did, it still failed at 43% and that he thinks it might be a modded PS3.

Ps3 Error Code 8002f1f9

Finding out that it may be modded, I asked the guy what the solution could be then. He said that the internal memory of the chipset itself needs to be wiped; something that only sony can do. Is this true? Is there NOTHING I can do now other than get sony to fix it? Is there a method to find out if it is actually modded or not? If it is modded, will removing the mod make this problem go away?

Any suggestions on next steps for me to try are greatly appreciated. Fat PS3 system.

The PS3 couldn't connect to PSN but it had firmware 4. Flash Game Bike Mania 5. Download Free Wild Game Innovations Camera Warranty more. 80 downloaded, so I figured I'd need to install it before it would let me connect to the network. Around halfway through the update process it will fail and give an error '8002F1F9', which from what I can gather is the code for a bad WiFi/Bluetooth chip.
