Icon Best answer by Stefan 29 October 2011, 01:05 I'd suggest the following: • Make a full backup of the navigation device (see hyperlink in previous post);• Remove the map from the navigation device with TomTom Home;• Remove the downloaded maps from the computer (can be done with TomTom Home);• Login to your account in TomTom Home;• Re-download the map and install to the device;• Restore the mapsettings.cfg file from the backup*;* This file contains all the settings and favourites, follow next steps to restore the settings. • Open the backup folder;• Open the folder which has the name of the installed map;• Right click on the file 'mapsettings.cfg' and select 'copy';• Close the window;• Go to 'my computer';• Open the hard drive contents of the navigation device;• Open the folder which has the name of the installed map;• Press ctrl + v or right click and select 'paste', the mapsettings.
